I need to know which education courses/requirements are needed to become a small business owner?

My family are interested in starting starting a small business such as a coffee house. It is in a area where we shouldn’t have to much compition (small town) for a coffee house. What should we exspect? What are the steps?

I’m looking for links to articles about the legal complications of starting and running a small business at age 17. And I’m not talking about mowing lawns or walking dogs or babysitting, I’m talking about an all out real business, with like a name and contracts and licenses and insurance and all that good stuff.

I own a small business and would like to give my employees more benefit options. I’ve tried to research insurance plans online, but every insurance site just wants me to call in to find out. Do any of you know? Are group health insurance rates a lot cheaper than regular rates?

I’m looking to start a small online business personalizing invitations, announcements, labels, etc. I am not a graphic designer but I am very creative hence the reason for this venture. What programs can I use for creating these types of products that is inexpensive to start with and does not require me to go back to school for desktop publishing? Also, do you know of any printers who work with small business owners for these types of products?

I am looking to open a coffee house in the small town I live in. I will be leasing a building that is currently a business office. We will be remodeling the building for the new business. Where do I go to find out how big the restroom needs to be? And if I need to have a wheelchair entry? Do I need a mens and a womens restroom? The building is under 1000sqft.

Credit scores are horrible. Really horrible. Eviction histories, repossession of the vehicle is on the credit report. no car. No personal phone/cell phone. No home. And is that easy to get the minority small business loan to open the group home for the youth? What is the qualification for the minority small business loan? I really want to know in detail.

Say this person has no experience at all with the business side only technical. Never went pass high school. His boss is retiring and want him to buy the company. What steps can he take to avoid the pitfalls common to a small business?

Only serious answers please………. This is important and I want to know what I might be getting myself into.
